Canter for the Cure is Oct 13

Please join us Oct 13 at Hunters Run.  It’s FUN DAY!!

One year ago today our MHJA Family lost a very dear member, Arlene Bates
Toyne, to pancreatic cancer. Arlene was the founder of Hunter’s Run and the mother of our MHJA President Suz Bates-Colon. She left behind many who loved her dearly. In her memory the Bates Family of Hunter’s Run is hosting the First Annual “Canter for the Cure” day of Equestrian Events,Food, and Fun to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The event will be held at Hunter’s Run on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Stalls and bedding are free for out of town guests and 100% of the money raised will go to this worthwhile cause.

Some of the highlights of the day include…

…Trail rides through 50 acres of woods and ponds
…Jumping events in the natural fields and rings
…Games on horseback
…Activities for non riders such as kids corner and leadline parade
…Meals and Entertainment

Please mark your calendars to be part of this first annual event!! Festivities begin at 8am with Breakfast, then a 9am Trail Ride, 10am Hunt Field Derby,11:30 Lead Line Parade for non riders, Noon-Lunch, 1pm Fun classes in the
pony ring, 2pm Gamblers choice with sections ranging from 2’6″ to 3’3″. A Dinner Event with entertainment will follow at Quimby’s.

“A” Circuit Donor – $75. Includes all day activities, breakfast, lunch, T-shirt,and wristband as well as free stall and bedding.

Regular Member Donor – $40. Includes half day of activities, breakfast or lunch and wristband.

Local Member Donor – $25. Spectator donor, includes breakfast and/or lunch and wristband.

Dinner at Quimby’s – $75. Includes appetizers, dinner, dessert, beer, wine,and entertainment.

As mother, grandmother, wife, sister, businesswoman and community volunteer, Arlene devoted her life to making the world a better place for those who knew and loved her. Please help us continue her legacy by joining
the fight to eliminate this devastating disease.

Fun Day checks should be made payable to “Pancreatic Cancer Action Network”. Dinner at Quimbys checks should be made payable to Quimbys.
